About the Image(s)

This image was the result of a small workshop at the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of PSA spring meeting. The image was processed in Snapseed to try to achieve a look on my iPhone that others were achieving with their big boy, girl cameras.

Great creative work Dick. You actually got an original look that I have never achieved. What of the 28 tools did you use? Where did you find a Peony flower? Mine Peonys are just starting to come up out of the ground. We have so much cold and wet weather in our area near Chicago. Sure hope that the weather starts of feel like May.   Posted: 05/02/2023 08:29:42

It is cold and wet here too! I too hope for some warmth soon!
To make this image I started with a Snapseed preset and then played with various tools. I wish I remembered which ones, but I was in a group and just playing to try to match what the presenter was doing in Photoshop, which I don't have on my phone. The presenter brought her own flowers to the event   Posted: 05/02/2023 18:59:19

Thanks Dick. I do understand the situation. I usually skip the presets and probably should play with them more. Any time we can get interesting things with our iPhones is a plus. Jerry   Posted: 05/03/2023 09:05:46

Very nice work. I have to say, for me anyway, the edited image is much more interesting than the original. The edit has a painterly feeling, of course, which was your goal. Like Jerry, I'd like a bit more information on how you achieved the result.

Most of the effect came from the preset.   Posted: 05/02/2023 19:00:22

There are a lot of very good comments on how you changed the original photo. I agree with these comments. It appears to me that you spent a lot of time on this project. It turned out to a very interesting and unique image. Nicely done.   Posted: 05/03/2023 08:49:16

Nice painterly result and it elevates the original from the ordinary.   Posted: 05/05/2023 14:05:20

You changed a mundane image into an interesting piece of art. Like others it would be interesting to know your process but I also understand that when we are playing around and experimenting we loose track of the process. Great job.   Posted: 05/13/2023 14:52:14
