Fall on the Mountain by Pamela Hoaglund

October 2021 - Fall on the Mountain

About the Image(s)

A friend and I plus my faithful companion, Goldie, made a trip to Mt Rainier National Park this week. It was a rainy day but off we went anyway. We experienced rain, snow and this bit of sunshine. There was fresh snow on the higher slopes and the lower slopes were in full fall color. Any day at the mountain is a good day. Taken with my iPhone 12 mini. Only processing was in the native editing program selecting “auto.”

A really lovely shot with great color! The two roads(?)lead the eye into the bowl beneath the clouds and the center of the image. This could be a nice screen saver!   Posted: 10/02/2021 15:31:17

Another wonderful landscape image. You live in a beautiful area of our country, and you utilize that advantage well. Good composition and well saturated, too. Nice blue sky and fluffy clouds.

The word "snow" gave me pause as not ready for winter. I like the touches of the fall colors and the mist on the mountains. Beautiful photograph and always enjoy your photographic perspectives of nature's gifts in these wondrous mountain settings. Great composition.   Posted: 10/04/2021 08:27:06

The image gives it a strong depth of field. The bright colors draw one's attention to the scene. Good job.   Posted: 10/07/2021 11:40:38

That makes me want to be there! The triangles of the hills combined with the colors make it all come together.Question about the native editing...does it destroy the original or make a copy?   Posted: 10/10/2021 18:22:37

It doesn't destroy the original. It also doesn't make a copy. You can save a copy and then revert the original edit back to the raw unedited image. Jerry may be able to explain this better than me. I just learned it at our PSA phone club meeting Tuesday night.   Posted: 10/16/2021 21:20:38
