Selfie Outside the Box by Jerry Hug, APSA

October 2021 - Selfie Outside the Box

About the Image(s)

I am not real big on shooting Selfies but here goes. It took the Selfie in our dining room. Then using Image Blender app,
I placed my self by the Harold Washington Memorial Library in Downtown Chicago. Behind my shoulder is a fast moving
Elevated Train which I caught in another image. I call this “Selfie Out Side the Box”. I was holding a long selfie stick in my left hand and a Bluetooth Clicker in my right hand to take a selfie. Fun just to play around with our Mobile devices.

You continue to give us reasons to get a selfie stick! Image Blender is an app we can all probably use. This is a very interesting example of a way to use the app that would never have occurred to me.   Posted: 10/02/2021 14:41:23

Jerry, another creative use of the camera and apps. I don't stretch the way you like to do. The creative background represents where you live. All I can add is well done!

Marvelous. Love everything about this creative photograph. Great selfie and love the backgrounds and how you used app to replace your dining room scene with combo of 2 Chicago backgrounds. Also like the "out side the box" framing. Impressive.   Posted: 10/04/2021 08:14:51

Very unique. The frame within a frame, the selfie stick coming out of the corner, and the portrait of a really cool guy make for a great image.   Posted: 10/07/2021 11:36:33

Very creative Jerry! My brain just doesn't think about doing these things. I have a selfie stick but seldom use it. I did recharge it a couple of weeks ago. Well done.   Posted: 10/08/2021 15:56:34

Really nice lighting on your face. Did you take several to get this one? What was the background without the Blender image and how was it cut out so nicely. I'm missing something, I think. Thanks for playing around and sharing.   Posted: 10/10/2021 18:02:35
