About the Image(s)

This image is of a knot on a board in the railing of a bridge. I liked the tones and the "eye" looking at me. Processed only with the native camera edit program on my 12 Pro Max. Just crop and add a little warmth.

What a neat shot Dick. It almost looks like a Spider in the center of the knot. It is probably just cracks but they are a good part of the image. Nice editing as usual. You could consider taking out the highlights on the top corners. Jerry   Posted: 10/02/2024 15:38:19

You are right about the highlights on top. I only noticed them after submitting the image.   Posted: 10/02/2024 15:41:27

I also thought there was a spider in the middle of the knot.It is very interesting to me that an image can create a different illusion for each individual viewer. An interesting approach...! Nice job!   Posted: 10/03/2024 04:26:55

I do see the "eye" in the panel. The natural light/dark shading created a 3D effect. It makes me think about a way to edit to increase the effect. I'd have to fiddle with it to see. I missed the "spider" until Jerry mentioned it. Maybe a Halloween motif would be interesting! Glad you saw the knot and shared it with us.

Good eye to catch the "eye." The simple things in life that we pass by everyday can become conversation starters. I see the spider now that others have mentioned it. Ditto on removing the highlights at the top corners.   Posted: 10/10/2024 23:34:37

Certainly suggest an eye. I like the warmer tones. The left side seems brighter to me. Maybe a swipe of the Burn tool could help...or the vignette?   Posted: 10/13/2024 20:32:29

I also immediately thought the black lines were a spider. This wooden swollen eyeball simulation photo, if surrounded by orange, could also be made into extremely creepy Halloween themed photo. Good capture of the everyday things around as that we might overlook.   Posted: 10/16/2024 14:14:31
