I agree that monochrome was the way to go with this. Love the leading lnes that give real depth to the photo. You have good depth of field. It is a peaceful scene. I would like to see more tonal range, however. I took it into Camera Raw and increased the contrast significantly and played with the black slider.   Posted: 09/09/2023 14:39:41

Paul, yes, the monochrome is the version that works best here, I think, and Cindy's suggestion about increased contrast would have been mine, as well. (I think her edit works). What I do really like about the image is way the strong leading lines of the trees take us into the frame and towards the bright patch of sky in the top centre.
