About the Image(s)

I shot this cow statue in Rome many years ago. I mono'd this picture so the cow was the subject, rather than the red headphones. They are pretty, though, don't you think?

Lots of interest here, good eye. Even the people in the back are of interest.   Posted: 05/05/2023 16:10:42

Paul, interesting and fun subject. I prefer the color version in that the red headphones make it more interesting and the woman walking in back of the head seems less distracting than in the monochrome version.   Posted: 05/05/2023 17:22:13

For me, this is more of a snapshot. The people in the back and the lady with her leg cut off are distractions, as are the two printed papers in the front.   Posted: 05/07/2023 13:28:02

Yes, a fun subject but I am not sure the BW conversion does it justice. I, like Mary Ann, prefer the colour image with the red headphones adding interest and humour. Perhaps if you had waited a couple of seconds for the woman on the right to move just beyond the cow's horns into the frame? Other options might be shooting from a different angle, capturing only the statue, not the pedestrians or the newspapers on the ground?   Posted: 05/11/2023 20:55:05

I am also leaning towards the color as I like the red headphones. I also wish there wasn't so many people or wait t capture them in the unique position. It is a bright so not sure if you could use a slower shutter to blur the people.   Posted: 05/12/2023 09:22:05

Can you crop out the two people who aren't relating to the cow and at least one of the signs below?   Posted: 05/12/2023 14:47:05
