About the Image(s)
How I did it.
Originally made for the PSA365 Gallery assignment. I is a table top shot of a dozen donuts. Fujifilm XPro2, ISO1200, 23mm lens, f/5.6, 1/400. I used the Acros monochrome film simulation with a red filter. Processed in Luminar Neo.

Chuck, this is a great set up and lends itself to monochrome. The minion adds humor and interest. It seemed a bit bright to me so in Photoshop I used an adjustment to take down the brightness a bit and add contrast. It seems to bring out the texture in the donuts and the table cloth. Let me know what you think.   Posted: 06/11/2022 16:05:25
You really nailed it better. Thank you. This is what this dialog is all about.   Posted: 06/11/2022 17:35:40
I am glad you like it! Yes, I agree about the dialog groups. I am learning quite a bit. I am also in a general group (3) so both groups are really helping me.   Posted: 06/14/2022 14:47:32
I must go check out Group 3. We occasionally get comments from other group members here as well.   Posted: 06/14/2022 14:52:25
Chuck, I think the colour version of this image actually works better with the subject matter (just my opinion). The bright orange lends a quirkiness and a humorous touch to the image, and allows the minion to stand out more. That being said, though, the monochrome better highlights the textures and shapes and I like Mary Ann's slightly darker, higher contrast edit. A fun shot!   Posted: 06/15/2022 23:06:47
I actually prefer the monochrome image. In the color version, the subjects blend into the background. I also like Mary Ann's edit with the darker background. Fun shot!   Posted: 06/16/2022 07:01:28
