Another experiment with BW flowers. The original was shot with my iPhone. Converted to monochrome in PS with some enhancements in Nik Silver Efex Pro.

Lorna, what a great photo to convert to monochrome. You have brought out the texture in the flowers and the lines of the blades in the background lead the eye right into the subject. Very nice image. Posted: 06/14/2022 14:58:53

Converting to mono is best. It brings out the yellow into some interesting detail whereas that is lost in the color shot. Love that iPhone. Making this a black and white picture makes for a draker background which is less busy. Im a fan of black backgrounds for flowers Posted: 06/14/2022 15:15:07

The monochrome version is the best! You have lovely curves and wonderful details on the flowers. I really like the dark background which really makes your subject stand out. You have a strong composition. I wouldn't change a thing. Nice job! Posted: 06/16/2022 06:51:04

You might want to check Matt K free recent You Tube blog for new free lightroom AI presets that can really darken the background. cropping looks good with another option to focus on flower only, Posted: 06/28/2022 15:02:01
