About the Image(s)

I took this a few years ago. I liked the structure of the windows. The original is an HDR picture that I thought would look good in mono, although the original is not very colorful. Comments?

Paul, old weathered wooden windows with shutters make great photographs. I like the texture in the wood, the contrast and the reflection of the clouds in the window. I like both the monochrome and color image. I like the color of the shutters and the bit of green in the window. The cloud reflection seems more apparent in the color version to me. Nice image.   Posted: 05/11/2022 15:38:02

Paul - I'm seeing the window but not glass breakage? Im also seeing cloud reflections in the top slider but horizontals in lower area. Suggest you play with exposure and contrast?   Posted: 05/11/2022 15:43:20

I didn't see any either. I didn't mention it either...   Posted: 05/11/2022 18:02:51

I like this very much. You have good textures and I find the irregularities in the slats of the shutters add much interest. I prefer the monochrome version, and like the centered composition.   Posted: 05/12/2022 15:24:26

Paul, I agree with others' comments, although I am fine with the exposure and contrast of the BW. I like the symmetry of this image but find the slightly damaged shutters add interest and a nice touch of asymmetry to the composition. Although I like the soft greenish tints of the colour version, I think the monochrome gives the image more of an appropriate "olden-days" feel.   Posted: 05/16/2022 14:15:10
