About the Image(s)

That day I was walking with my father towards a parking lot in Downtown Chicago. Suddenly I saw this scene where all colors seemed to match under my eye, and the overall view gave me a sense of happiness. I tried to capture that amazing moment and I do love the way it comes out, even the short time period I had to do it before traffic starts bothering the capture. I would love to hear your comments with any improvement I have made. This is a non edited picture. 5d mark iii, lens 24mm, basic color correction in LR.

I love the bright colors. They really caught my eye. I do wish you had a bit more at the bottom. The tires of the orange car merge with the edge of the photo. The large essentially featureless gray area at the top is a distraction, but I don't know what could be done. If you crop down from the top you lose the top of the building on the right which I think is rather interesting. The photo is a bit busy so maybe a tighter crop all together would help. I will be interested in seeing other folks have to say.

I do like the photo. You did a good job capturing and sharing with the viewer what it is that drew your attention in the first place.   Posted: 10/10/2021 13:48:45

Sylvia, I can see why this scene caught your eye. You have lots of warm tones and a blue awning. Where I struggled with this one is trying to decide what the subject was. At first glance I thought it wa the car. It almost seems like a car ad. Then my eye bounced around the photo latching onto the bright areas. I think I would crop down the upper third of the photo to eliminate the bland roofs.   Posted: 10/20/2021 09:04:56
