For this month, I went back to photos from 2020 when we visited Yellowstone National Park in June of 2020. I there are several that I liked, but I think that this time I am going with mountains.
This photo was taken around 8 p.m. in the evening, but because of our elevation it was still bright like early afternoon. Because this was taken in early June, it was also super cold. Additionally, this shot was taken from a moving car with Canon Rebel T3. We do a lot of road trips so I have quite a few photos taken from the passenger seat. In this photo, being this high and on such an isolated road, you truly felt alone and on top of the world. My husband and I just kept saying "wow"! The editing for this photo was very minimal due to the late submission.

Torah, this is a breathtaking shot of the Rockies! Where in Yellowstone were you? Beartooth pass? I like that you have a cloud cutting across below the peak. That tell the story of how high you were. You have great light on the furthest peaks. I might consider cropping down a little since the sky is not that interesting.   Posted: 10/09/2024 20:49:39

Hello David. Yes this was on the road that goes over Beartooth Pass. I'm not sure exactly where because it was several years ago, but I know that we were headed from Red Lodge into the Lamar Valley. I see what you mean about the sky. I did crop out some sky on this photo already and I thought about cropping out more but didn't do it. Guess I should have.   Posted: 10/09/2024 21:42:09
