Image as taken at Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Florida. If you have never been there, it is definitely worth going. Was shooting anything and everything when this bumble bee came along and posed on top one of the gorgeous flowers.

Do you do the Spelling Bee in the NYT? I think this photo would wow them. Great photo of the bee in action. The only thing I would change would be to darken the green stalk of the flower.   Posted: 10/03/2024 17:39:22

Yes, the darker stem work. The change brings the stem into alignment with the leaf that is peeking through the petals on the left side of the flower.
The red and the yellow just pop with color. Nice saturation and brightness levels.
