About the Image(s)
This image was processed in Lightroom for B&W conversion. I used the B&W color sliders and Tone Curve for global adjustments too . The shot was taken on a Fuji X-T3 on a 16mm prime (F16.0, ISO 160, 6 sec.).

Jeff,
My only suggestion is to remove the reflection of the trees or bushes in the right side water. I would remove the reflection that goes into the lighter shade water. I see it and can't stop looking at it. Especially since it is the only such reflection. For me, it detracts from the overall "Smoothness" of the water line.

I think the photo works with it without that reflection.
I like the stillness of the scene and the reflections.   Posted: 05/12/2023 16:03:08

Robert,
Not sure what your comment means. Leave it in or take it out?

Hi Jeff,
I confess that I find the reflection of the trees on the right side a bit of a non-issue in fact I had to look for it. I like original 3 a slight bit better than #2 or the original, as the distant hills are a little lighter and give a slightly better definition. I like your crop, but also like the original as the near shore frames the lake. All are very good to my eye.
I like the concept including the reflection of the hills in the lake. I also like the sky though I think it might be slightly better if the highlights and whites were toned down a little.
Overall a very nice image. Thank you for sharing it with us.   Posted: 05/12/2023 20:50:18

Thanks for the comments Ed. I agree with your thoughts about the sky and did tone down the brightest parts (see comments to Dom above.)   Posted: 05/14/2023 15:49:38
Hi Jeff, this is one of the images I could just sit watching for hours. I love the symmetry, the fluid lines, the light on the dune, and the dramatic sky. I would vote with Dom for removing the sharp contrasty reflection of the little trees.   Posted: 05/13/2023 08:49:44
Thanks Kristi - Please see the comments to Dom. I did make the recommended changes and I think they did improve the image!   Posted: 05/14/2023 15:53:47
