Hi Al,I think that you have caught a special moment. I love the serenity in the expression of the child, like he were a lot older than his years. The light on his face and the rim light on his head and sleeve are so beautiful. To my eye, his outlines look a little hard against the background. I wonder how making the background a little lighter and the outlines a little softer would work? A lovely image!   Posted: 11/19/2021 10:41:01

I think you are right about the background. will tru to lighten and blur and see if that helps

Al, I really like his calm expression, which you have caught perfectly. Also the the position you have him posed in, is perfect. The rim lighting on his head is lovely. The poignant title of your image is perfect for your image. I agree about blurring the background   Posted: 11/21/2021 21:14:45

The pairing of this image with its title enhances both. We immediately know that this is a disadvantaged child, yet not showing fear or anger. One wonders if as they grow older, can that maintain. You have captured a complex interaction of a personal image with a larger social problem.   Posted: 11/23/2021 21:35:59
