About the Image(s)

I took this picture of Split Rock Lighthouse, which is about 40 miles north of Duluth. The PSA Wisconsin Chapter was up there in May. I used Photomatix and used the Enhancement setting. I also had a heck of a time straightening the dang photo.
Anyways, the three pictures settings are as follows:

All - ISO 320 and f/13
Shutters: 1/640, 1/200, 1/60, all on a tripod.

Paul, this is a really interesting lighthouse with the location on top of the cliffs. I see people near the lighthouse, were you able to get closer? Bet you did have a time getting the photos straight.   Posted: 11/07/2021 17:21:51

I did not get closer (except the back of the lighthouse) and I did various focal lengths. This one was the best(!) of the bunch on a longer focal length.   Posted: 11/07/2021 19:31:39

An interesting shot, Paul. I would suggest, crop about 1/4 to 1/3 of the sky from the top, also darken the sky a bit or consider trying a sky replacement with either the new tool in Photoshop or, if you have it, Luminar.   Posted: 11/09/2021 09:57:01

Thanks. Good suggestion. I just got Luminar and am still learning. Will try.   Posted: 11/09/2021 13:06:36

A very nice lighthouse. I really like the rocky point it sits on. I can visualize some creative processing to make this a bit more mysterious. Cropping the sky would help.   Posted: 11/11/2021 04:32:11
