About the Image(s)

These photos were taken at Turkey Run State Park in Indiana in 2012. I came across them while looking in my extra hard drives. I used Photomatix exclusively, using the Optimizer option and did a few edits. One was making the underside of the left formation a little brighter to show the colors.
All ISO 1600, f/14. Speeds 1.8 sec, 1/3.3 sec, and 1/1.3 sec. I also sharpened the final HDR photo a bit.

Paul, I really like the way the viewers eyes lead to the person in the photo. The cliffs on both sides assist leading the viewers eyes to the person. Good detail on the cliffs, and the trees above. All-all a very nice picture   Posted: 05/07/2021 22:55:05

Yes Paul, in these pandemic days, it's worthwhile to go back over images we took some years back and find some hidden gems. I would never have realized a scene like this exists in Indiana, which I think of as being nearly flat, only gentle hills. As Richard says, the scene leads the viewer to the person. But I wish the second person were more visible, and as such, you should clone him (her?) out. Good detail in the rock faces.   Posted: 05/08/2021 10:38:07

Cloning out the other person is a good point. Thanks.   Posted: 05/08/2021 17:00:03
