About the Image(s)

I hope you’re doing well and enjoying the fall colours.
This month, we are moving back to Spain after more than twelve years in Sydney. It might be a bit challenging for me to stay active with my comments, but I will do my best.
For this month's image, I chose one I took in Spain last January. This little bird is common known as a Petirrojo in Spanish, a red Robin in English. Lovely little bird that you can see around in winter months.

Exif data:

Shutter speed: 1/640 sec
Aperture: f 6.3
ISO 1600
Shot with a Sony camera and a 200-600 mm lens at 448 mm

Great photograph, Maria
The Robins in Chicago typically have only the breast red. A beautiful capture with the frame being filled at 448 mm.

Outstanding Robin Maria. Great color, sharpness and definition. Perch very nice and a very non distracting background. Only minor adjustment I might make is tone down the upper right corner just slightly. Excellent!   Posted: 10/13/2024 19:01:00

Yes, outstanding capture. The colors all enhance each other. Very detailed. Besides toning down the upper right, it is an amazing photo.   Posted: 10/24/2024 15:30:15

I love the background. You did a great job of brightening the bird and highlighting it against the background. The feathers are sharp and have detail and there is a catchlight in the eye.   Posted: 10/26/2024 04:30:28

Hi Maria this is a beautiful picture of a Red Robin and the background compliments him perfectly. Other than toning down the area in the upper right-hand corner your picture is perfect. You did a wonderful job. Hope everything goes well for you in your move back to Spain.   Posted: 10/27/2024 20:04:50
