About the Image(s)

We stayed in a converted brake van (I think it is called a caboose in USA) on a heritage steam railway in Kent. It was parked right next to a station on the line. There were some beautiful skies while we were there and I took this picture of the signal box and water tower at the end of the station with the sun setting behind them. It was taken in RAW at 1/125 sec, f8, ISO 200. I exposed for the highlights and brought out more detail in the shadows in Photoshop and also cropped it slightly.

Such a nice peaceful image of the train's signal tower and water tower. You captured the image at the perfect time with the sun setting in the background and beautiful sky to warm the scene. Great job!   Posted: 05/05/2022 23:39:09

This is such a moody image. The silhouetted water tower and signal tells the whole story of what one is seeing. I like how the water tower, fence and small building form a triangle with the setting sun in the middle. Nicely captured!   Posted: 05/06/2022 05:08:44

You did a nice job of bringing out just enough details in your post processing. It's an interesting scene with wonderful color in the sky. Nice capture. I don't have any suggestions for improvement.   Posted: 05/06/2022 09:24:27

nice capture, and post proc, don't comments to changes.
One little observation though, that the little structure/building on the left, I'd tone down the highlight/exposure on the left window. As light coming from the sunset, that side should have that much light on it.   Posted: 05/14/2022 16:58:33

Photo-Train enthusiasts will like this picture. The sign in the lower right is distracting.   Posted: 05/19/2022 10:31:07
