January 2022 - New year's Eve Fireworks

About the Image(s)

The first New Year's Eve fireworks show in Taiwan is riverbank of Tamsui River in at 8:22 PM on 12/31. It is worth mentioning that this event will be the first "cross-river fireworks show" in Taiwan; the fireworks planning will be staged on the 920-meter-long Tamkang Bridge, and the overall delivery range is 1 kilometer and 350 meters high. The fireworks will be lasted for 13 minutes and 14 seconds. It symbolizes the meaning of "I will love you forever". The special riverbank scene will not only be one of the indicators of the New Year's Eve this year, but the official feature will be as exciting as the New Year's Eve fireworks in Sydney, Australia!

My Nikon D810 was on tripod by the river bank with f/16, ISO of 125. I took consecutive shots with various speed in B-mode. The fireworks were selected and overlaid. The image was finally cropped in PhotoShop

What a great fireworks shot. Very well composed and exposed. I like the symmetry of the exploding fireworks. My only suggestion would be to crop the sides a little more. The bright street lights are not necessary and pulls one's attention from the fireworks. Another option would be to darken the lights.   Posted: 01/03/2022 06:36:08

An excellent example of fireworks photography. The void to the left of center is conspicuous and might be filled in with more "action" to produce a complete image.   Posted: 01/03/2022 13:27:15

A very good fireworks photo! I like how you were far enough away to get everything in and a excellent job of overlaying the photos. It's colorful and well-focused. Great job!   Posted: 01/04/2022 15:58:41

What a great fireworks image! You did an awesome job both capturing the fireworks with good focus and designing and compositing your final image. I agree that you can crop in on the sides just a little. All in all - nice job!   Posted: 01/05/2022 11:02:30

Just image the fun, like a conductor on symphony, clicking the remote and counting in your mind. Fun project.

I might consider darken a bit the bottom line, but this is a fun image to shoot and work on. love it.   Posted: 01/06/2022 20:25:34
