About the Image(s)

Hello There is the Title. I photographed this mountain in the summer of 2020 at Glacier National Park.
The goat was sitting just below an overlook which many tourists frequented.

Camera was a Nikon D810 with a 200-500mm lens. I was handholding the camera at that time.
Shutter Speed: 1/320 sec and Aperture: f/5.6, ISO 800, 200mm.

This is a great image! It really shows the goat's character through its expression. The critical features are in perfect focus (i.e., the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, horns and fur on its face). The detailed fur around its mouth stand out nicely against the dark background. If I were add any suggestions, it might be to crop some of the sides. You want the viewers to focus on that beautiful face. I took a stab at cropping it to a square format and adding a vignette.   Posted: 10/02/2021 07:26:44

That face! As David said, you have nice details and focus. The eyes are great with catch lights and they draw me right in. I like David's crop very much. A great find and nicely done. This would do well in a nature competition.   Posted: 10/04/2021 10:57:12
