About the Image(s)

This was taken in Eminence, MO where there are several old Mills and lovely Ozark streams and scenery. I love the setting for this mill and the reflection in the water. I removed the tree coming out of the top of the mill, then adjusted the colors and contrast in both Camera Raw and Nik Color Efex. Settings: f/22, 1/80 sec., 35mm focal length on a tripod. The ISO was set on Auto (which I never do any more) and so it was 6400. I used the noise reduction slider in Camera Raw to get rid of most of the noise.

What a lovely scene - well captured and well processed! It has a nice foreground (yellow leaves floating in the water), beautiful subject (the mill and reflection), and interesting background (rock cliff and forest). The colors were nicely enhanced by warming the scene and saturating the reddish color of the mill's wooden exterior and mill wheel. You did well in cloning out the tree sticking out of the mill. A very nice image, colorful and sharp. I like the waterfall coming down next to the old mill. My only suggestion would be to crop a little of the left side. This would bring your attention to the old mill and reflection. Good job   Posted: 10/07/2021 15:04:05

Lot of history and character here. I would have done a tighter crop on the left.   Posted: 10/15/2021 11:15:38
