About the Image(s)

This one goes back to the Colorado Springs Conference. Almost all of the images I see are down the main aisle and that makes sense for symmetry. I tried some from the side aisle and found that I still liked the perspective. The bracket was done with a Canon 1D MK IV and 17-35 F4 lens at 19mm, F22, iso 200 and a base exposure of 3.2 seconds. The bracket was two shots to either side of the base at one stop intervals. Given the potential for CA on the edges I ran all five shots thru DxO Pure Raw for the raw processing and then did the blend in Aurora 2019 (since there wasn’t any ghosting to worry about). I did a manual correction of the primary horizontals and verticals to get those true and then used Transform to even the top of the pew at the bottom of the frame to bring that true as well. While the impression in the chapel is always how intense the colors are, I decided to leave them somewhat less vibrant than I remember them by not pushing up the contrast.

I love this, the colors are just WOW. Great composition and clean blending.   Posted: 09/12/2021 00:09:44

The colors are quite spectacular and nice point of view.
I have PureRaw and mostly think of it for noise, perhaps I should use it more!   Posted: 09/15/2021 12:46:53

You did some excellent technical work to give this image the color I would never imagine was close to what it actually was. I love the angle and clarity of the entire image. I find no part of this I could comment on needing change.   Posted: 09/22/2021 15:34:39
