About the Image(s)

This was shot during a quick trip to Glacier National Park in August of 2019. The fires in the area had their advantage, waterfalls were much easier as long as you didn't show the sky. The is a 3 shot blend hovering around 1.6 secs at f16 and ISO 50 at 16mm. The primary work was done in Aurora 2018 including the polarizing filter for the mountain at the top, top and bottom plus the standard color, contrast, structure, highlights, shadows and exposure. Then to photoshop for a crop and a little content aware fill along the edges. Finally a stop in Nik Color Efex for a little added punch.

The blend is smooth and natural and the colors remind me of Glacier even though it has been a few years. The rock line is a very strong visual lead to the falls. You did well to keep the sky as small as you did. Did you venture into the water for some added angles?   Posted: 09/08/2021 18:31:55

We were there pretty late in the day, just tried to get some shots in before the light was gone. This trip was a cross country drive to take my daughter to Anacortes Washington. Really didn't pack any good water shoes, would have loved to stay longer.   Posted: 09/08/2021 22:05:52

I love the rocks, the colors and the textures. The rocks are a wonderful foreground for the waterfall and trees.

Good that you removed a lot of the sky, perhaps crop it all out -- or replace it :-0   Posted: 09/12/2021 00:13:32
