West end of Oxbow Bend's Color by Max Burke, APSA

June 2021 - West end of Oxbow Bend's Color

About the Image(s)

It appears as a panorama as I wanted to eliminate a row of bushes in the foreground as I took this from the edge of the highway. It required adjusted colors using Photoshop. I used Photomatix Pro 6.2.1. photographic mode. A tripod was used and all is natural in this image. It is a three image, one-stop difference using Nikon D750 with Nikkor 17-55 2.8 Nikon lens. Focal length was 34mm and settings were1/200,400, and 800 speeds at f/8 at an ISO400 setting.

Classic Ox Bow Bend and very nice fall colors. Looks like the water level was down more than usual. The panel is effective and there is just enough of Moran showing to lock in the ID for even those who may only have been there once or twice.   Posted: 06/14/2021 13:55:22

The blend looks good and some great colors thoughout. Too bad there was not more water to add a little more interest in the foreground.   Posted: 06/14/2021 16:15:54
