Well, that 13 mm lens has captured/created a remarkable and powerful image. That central portion of the stairs is quite a leading line. But wait, there is more! Would you call the lines formed by the edge of the staircase "curved leading lines"? The edge of the stairs leads your eyes up and there is the beautiful stained glass! My eyes stay there. Rich color and detail in great!   Posted: 01/04/2022 12:16:26

Well seen and well captured Linda. As Mark said the leading lines are wonderful. First the vertical post and then the very cool spiral staircase. I think you are leading the viewer right to the center of the action and when they get there there is much to see. My eye kept viewing in circles at the top trying to see everything. I also like the rich warm tones in your image and your transition from dark to light just adds to the presentation. Love it!
You might consider a thin white border on images that fade to black at the edges for DD. The DD background is black and a image with black at the edge bleeds into it.   Posted: 01/05/2022 09:31:19

What is DD Background. Do you have somewhere I can learn more about the Fade to black etc?   Posted: 01/05/2022 15:53:24

Sorry I wasn't very clear. DD is Digital Dialogue and the background our images are shown on is black. So if you have a black edge (fade from light center color to black edge) on your submitted image it just blends into the Digital Dialogue background and makes it harder for the viewers eye to find the edges of the photo.   Posted: 01/05/2022 17:19:29

Very beautiful image. I like the richness of color of the photo. The stair and pillar form leading lines and lead one to the look at the upper part of the image. I also like the mood created by the proper tone effect of the photo.   Posted: 01/10/2022 22:02:19

BEAUTIFUL color, rich, great spiral and leading line. It also has a quality of an infinity shot. There are contrasting colors that also lead. I see what Bruce is saying about framing for competition. Great, Neat, complex Shot!!!   Posted: 01/14/2022 13:04:57

This is a wonderful image, Linda. The color throughout is just striking. You've combined the curving leading lines with the straight geometry of the post (?) in the center. The post brings you into the breathtaking stained glass at the top of the dome, then the stairs curve you back down, only to have your eyes go back up. The combination really keeps your eyes inside of the image. I'm a big fan of existing light, and really like how you handled the exposure all through the image. The only thing I'd be tempted to play with is the lower part of the frame, maybe open up some of the shadows to bring out more of the texture on the metal staircase and the post. Very nicely done.   Posted: 01/15/2022 06:12:52
