Love it Linda. You have captured her essence. What a great face and you have coaxed out the colors so well in your processing. Indeed, Happy Birthday!   Posted: 09/11/2021 07:51:42

I studied the original for a bit. It is a very good capture. The expression is priceless. A little "snarky". I like the crop. I think this image is "overcooked". I think it needs to be "softer" and not so detailed. That is just me. I am going throught a less is more phase.   Posted: 09/11/2021 17:42:17

Love it! The eyes have it and you captured a wonderful expression. The composition is good and I wouldn't change a thing! Good job!   Posted: 09/11/2021 18:37:34

Great shot! I have nothing to add. However, if the background is a little more softer, it will look much better.   Posted: 09/11/2021 21:04:08

I agree with it being a great shot. His expression is priceless. You brought the eyes out of the shadows which must have been difficult. I like the crop and framing also. Hard to say about sharpness. I like Marks suggestion but the eye is not delineated which seems to be the biggest thing these days. I wanted to go out and shoot an Orangatan just like this but did not get to the zoo. Must have been fun.   Posted: 09/12/2021 12:16:03

This is a great photo! I agree about softening up the background, and possibly the fur as well. That way it would really pull the viewer into the facial expression.   Posted: 09/15/2021 10:56:50
