What a fun and cool photo! I really like the brightness around the eye of the grasshopper. The bokeh is great but I think over on the left, the one brighter green leaf is a slight distraction. Maybe crop it in a bit tighter but maintain the composition as it is.   Posted: 06/11/2021 09:37:55

Hi Leo, I love this image. Minimalistic Look. There is just a few hot spots on this image. I painted them out with black paint and bought down the opacity. I also cropped it down a little to make the insect large and put him closer to the rules of thirds. Great contrast. I put a Visual Image.

At Night! The depth of field is perfect. The long horizontal line is leading and it anchors the subject. I love the subject capture. This little guy has a personality (to me at least). Well done. Maybe a tighter crop?   Posted: 06/12/2021 15:22:44

I really like the detail you captured in the grasshopper. And the composition with it on the arching stem gives him a route to travel across the image. I feel your composition is just fine and would only like to see some of the hot spots toned down as Linda has shown. How far away from it were you when you took the shot?   Posted: 06/14/2021 13:28:50

As before I agree with the comments. The DOF is good getting the hot spots out and cropping as Linda did. Only drawback is that the front is somewhat pixilated, but although I have not used the Topaz or Photoshop new software to increase pixels and sharpen, itr sounds like it would clear the magnified image.   Posted: 06/20/2021 16:27:55
