About the Image(s)
This is a young African lioness. I took this photo at Out of Africa Wildlife Park in Arizona.
I took a wonderful photography workshop there with Kathleen Reeder Wildlife Photography. Pentax K 1 full frame camera.
Pentax HD 150-450 telephoto lens. I was right up against the fence. Aperture was f 5 which makes the fence "disappear".
1/500th second. ISO 800.

Lighting is spot on. Great look. The only thing I would think about changing is to crop to not have the tail shown. The tail has highlights on it and my eyes keeps going to the highlights on the tail. I want to keep looking the Young African Lioness eyes. Outstanding image. Winner!   Posted: 05/09/2021 21:13:32

Love those eyes. Great capture Mark, she looks close enough to pet! Love the composition and the colors of your shot. I don't know what the fence looked like, but no traces of it in the image--I will have to try that technique next time I'm at the zoo. I do agree with Linda about the highlights on the tail, but you might try to just tone it down a bit as I really like the crop with room all around. Nice shot.   Posted: 05/10/2021 08:47:28
The lighting is fantastic in this image! I love those eyes as well, but they seem very slightly out of focus. The coloring and lighting though is just awesome!   Posted: 05/10/2021 10:17:09

The focus is soft on this. Wish it was better   Posted: 05/10/2021 16:10:41

This is a lovely image. The only thing I would suggest is to add a texture which would
blend everything.   Posted: 05/27/2021 19:16:53
