About the Image(s)
This image of the Osprey was taken on the coast of GA. I cropped the original image and sharpened it in Topaz Sharpen.
Nikon D500: 300mm, f/6.3, 1/2500 s, ISO 450.

Your image appears very sharp. Exposure is right on. I especially like the way his eye shows up. The fact that he is carrying a fish adds interest and tells a story. I think a bit tighter crop would create a stronger composition. Adjusting the crop to give him more room on the left towards where he is flying might be considered as well. Great capture!

Very nice. It might feel a little more natural if you flipped it left-right.   Posted: 06/10/2022 16:17:50
Thank you for your comments Robert. For some reason the direction in which the bird is flying doesn't really occur to me when I am processing my images. I know this has been a comment from you and others in the past as well. I will try to remember that for the future.   Posted: 06/13/2022 13:36:16
The bird is sharp and the fish is a nice touch. It is recently caught since the head is still there. It is difficult to photograph in full sunlight. The highlights are over exposed. The blacks do not have detail.Under the wing is too dark. It would have been better the frame before before the bird was flying away.   Posted: 06/11/2022 00:33:06
The fact that a bit of the bird's neck and a bit of the fish are blown doesn't bother me as expect them to be pure white. On my monitor I see sufficient detail in all the black so that overall, the appeal of the luminosities in this image seems to be a matter of personal taste.   Posted: 06/11/2022 10:05:39
