Winter Pod by Holly Moore, PPSA

October 2021 - Winter Pod

About the Image(s)

This was taken many years ago but I have never showed it.The photo was taken in January in Texas at a local lily pond. Needless to say, nothing was blooming. I thought the pod made an interesting photo. I used my Canon 6D. The exposure was 1/100 sec, f/8 and ISO was 100. I used my 100 fixed lens, spot metering and it was hand held.

I like the bottom half of reflections only.   Posted: 10/10/2021 17:38:21

I would crop the top half of the pod off. The sun lighting the top portion ,makes a nice balance, with the reflection.   Posted: 10/11/2021 05:44:09

Personally, I like the whole image. I like the framing and colors . I like the fact that it is abstract. You made something simple look interesting. I would up the construct a bit to make it look less flat or use Topaz(if you have) . Nice job.   Posted: 10/11/2021 09:39:36
