This photo was taken inside a Japanese ship at about 150 feet. The Japanese lost 45 ships in about one day during operation Hailstone. The bottom is littered with war material, beer and saki bottles and every day wares

Taking this must have been quite an adventure. The equipment too, must have been out of the ordinary. In context, this is and interesting photo. I think it would help to give this the title "Bottom of Truk Lagoon".   Posted: 09/02/2021 15:41:34

Great shot, the color and sharpness are great as well as seeing the growth on the saki bottle. How deep can you dive? A 150 feet is equivalent to a 15 story building.   Posted: 09/08/2021 11:28:35

Thanks. I did not know if it was saki bottle or beer. They must have been heavy drinkers. I have done 210 feet but do not recommend it. I was chasing a crazy diver. Free diving i have done 100 feet. I was younger   Posted: 09/08/2021 11:43:42

Geez. I am a scuba diver, but haven't dove in years. My deepest was 90 feet. I loved being a visitor in another world. All of your underwater photography is amazing. This image is very interesting.
