About the Image(s)

Comments: Focus stacked, f/7.1, ISO 100, 1/200 sec. 70-200 f/4 mm at 85 mm with Canon closeup lens 500D. Focus stack processed with Canon DPP4, then edited with Picture Window Pro 8 where it was drastically cropped. This was an attempt to show something a little different from the more usual flower on a stem shot.

Robert, I like what you did with the crop. I think I would enjoy it more if the white petals had a little less texture showing.

I would try not cropping so tight. I love the white petals. I am drawn like a magnet to the bright colors which would be ok if the pollen were sharp. The pollen looks strange. Did you do something to it?   Posted: 06/05/2021 13:54:15

I did nothing to the pollen. This is the way it was.   Posted: 06/06/2021 09:51:03

I like it, nice and sharp. Regarding the texture, I would like to see it cute back one the top. The texture on the bottom seems fine. The red stands out, and brings your eye into the pollen area. Good job.   Posted: 06/09/2021 12:35:03

Robert, I like the crop and the sharpness of the center. The white petals could be soft. Very nice!   Posted: 06/09/2021 14:35:36
