About the Image(s)
I planted some cosmos seeds in July and didn’t expect them to do well due to having
been planted so late however, thy grew to over five feet in height. A few days ago I went
into the yard with my camera and found that there were a few large bees going from
one flower to another. I had my 105 mm macro lens on the camera and took a number
of hand-held shots. Processing included cropping, increased saturation, sharpening and
denoise, and vignetting in camera raw.
Camera: Nikon Z8
Lens: Nikon 105 mm macro
Exposure: f/9, 1/80 sec, ISO 160

This is a beautiful photo with great detail. This is very minor but i would fill in the tiny hotspot lower right.   Posted: 10/07/2024 20:55:14

Charles - Your image is very clear and the bee is outstanding. I really like seeing the pollen on the bees legs and peddles.   Posted: 10/07/2024 21:35:29

Charles - Well, everyone has pretty much said it: excellent, sharp macro with a lot of detail and good bokeh. I especially like the bee's wings: they look like stained glass.   Posted: 10/26/2024 18:17:01

Thanks for your comments, Susan. This was one of those shots where everything fell into place. I got lucky with this one.   Posted: 10/27/2024 14:07:12
