About the Image(s)

How I did it:

I started working on this several weeks ago and I am not sure what I did to begin with other than in Camera Raw I played with the sliders. To finish I took this into Topaz Studio Two and applied the oil painting I Look.

My vision was to take a straight image and give it an impressionistic appearance. The dried grasses I wanted to be the center of interest, the background an impressionistic (bokeh) appearance.

Equipment:
Canon EOS R5 with 24-105 f4 lens
Hand held
Recorded in Camera Raw
Processing in PS Raw, PS and Topaz Studio Two, minor cropping and spotting

What do you think and what would you do differently?

Henry, I like what you've done this month. This image has a beautiful balance of color, brightness, saturation, and sharpness. I might consider cloning out the small swatch at the bottom left as that small cluster draws the eye down and might be stronger if it was just a clean stem to keep the eye higher up in the image.   Posted: 01/08/2022 11:59:37

I love the treatment of the background! wow. The juxtaposition of the brighter sharper grasses against the darker background really pops.

perhaps clone out or darken down the bottom right...   Posted: 01/18/2022 22:40:36
