About the Image(s)

This is a composite of three images on top of the railroad tracks.
The tracks were given HDR treatment, I shot myself on a green screen, and the train shot was taken a few years back behind my house. The water was created using a filter called Flood 2 by Flaming Pear. The point of the image is that I'm just passively waiting for the train (global warming) to hit me and I'm already standing in water.

Tom, nice concept of waiting for global warming to mow you over. As always, your technical expertise of putting together composites shines through. I like the circling birds, perhaps turkey vultures, gathering overhead in anticipation of your demise by the train of global warming.

How about changing your stance to one of fearful waiting to be run over with the train closer to you?   Posted: 12/09/2021 18:54:05

love the symbolism and the message. the vultures circling overhead and the hat dissolving into the acid rain water are wonderful. The black and white effect really adds to the drama. This is just wonderful1 I do hope that this series is being sent in to the copyright office! This is my favorite (so far) in this series!

Improvement... remove the power lines in the top right as they look like they are going into his ear/head.   Posted: 12/09/2021 22:34:40

Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the observation on the power lines. Yes, I think it could improve this to remove them. Cheers.

Tom, Another super strong image on many fronts, compostion, handling of black and white, and story. There's something about the bottom of the image that feels distracting to me. I wonder if you were to crop out a little bit of the bottom of the image if that might create a better balance.   Posted: 12/12/2021 16:44:31

Brad,
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have to think about that crop.

Another one in a great series Tom!! Woot!
I actually like the wires but wonder about the placement of the "man".
I'd like to see him moved closer to the train and farther away from the camera... although.... the closeness of the body creates tension so you may want that...
Kudos!   Posted: 12/25/2021 17:35:42

Hi Kathy,
I agree with that observation. I moved him closer so that he is not cut off on the edge and I think it is a good improvement. Thanks.
