About the Image(s)
Here is my Milky Way picture. This was my wide angle lens 17mm 30 sec, f2.8, iso 2500.
It was supposed to be clear but you can see clouds, lightening, and I had trouble with my tripod so shot from the hood of my Jeep. My first attempt and it is like magic to me.

Wow Catherine, that is way too cool. That is Magic. Was this taken at some sort of Rocket launching area? Wow.   Posted: 08/08/2022 01:24:16
Those are actually dead trees from water levels rising.   Posted: 08/17/2022 07:25:48
Beautiful image of galaxy! I also played with the galaxy a few times but it is hard to have a wonderful sky and a beautiful landscape in the same image since they might be contradicting with each other. The landscape requires long exposure in the night while the sky can not tolerate such a long exposure, otherwise the stars would became short lines because they are constantly moving.   Posted: 08/16/2022 14:41:49
This is photography that you set the settings, push the shutter and wait to see what you get.   Posted: 08/17/2022 07:27:21
Good attempt at something different. It's really difficult to get a clear sky, there is a straight line in the middle which could a plane or satellite. Unfortunate you had tripod problems - you have done good to take this off your car hood.
I think you have a similar colour cast problem with Auto WB as Lin. I took the liberty of processing this to Auto WB, straightening it (assuming the trees at the bottom are vertical), removing the red light on the right hand side and decreasing the exposure by one and a half stops. Which I think looks more natural but that's personal (you may hate it). What do you think?   Posted: 08/17/2022 04:42:33

I do like it - is certainly something you do not see with the naked eye so it is something to play with. I also liked seeing the trees reflecting in the water in the foreground and you only see that when it is lighter.   Posted: 08/17/2022 07:30:00
Yes, I thought the reflections were nice - you could selectively lighten the bottom of the picture.   Posted: 08/17/2022 07:39:16
