About the Image(s)
Our local camera club had an indoor photo shoot with “The Frog Lady”. She brought frogs, snakes and other critters. I was most interested in getting a photo with the tongue sticking out. I used Live Photo on the iPhone 14 Pro Max to capture a series of images and then pick one with the tongue sticking out. This was my best result. I could have used Burst Mode and had more images to pick from but Live Photo worked.

You reached your objective. Special activity for the club...
I like the composition, and of course the sharp head (with eyes) and the tong.
I am a little disturbed by the white line on the left. It gives the impression of a step, that is not present on the right.   Posted: 11/10/2023 11:42:15

Capturing the lizard with the tongue out makes this image. I would like to see more depth of field so the tongue was more in focus. Catch light would be nice, but this is all more difficult to achieve with a cell phone. Perhaps a vignette would help keep the eye right on the point of interest (lizard head).   Posted: 11/12/2023 11:09:33

Jerry its always fun to try something different like this. Since this a black and white and you can do anything it might be fun to try dropping in a different foreground under the lizard - as mentioned the 'step' on the left seems odd. In the heat of the moment with a phone - a burst would have been a better choice and perhaps being just a bit further away to get the tongue in focus.   Posted: 11/12/2023 19:12:32
Well you did your objective and have some nice detail on the creature. Should of been fun trying to get this right.   Posted: 11/14/2023 07:04:36
Good shot of the lizard. I would like to see a little more contrast with him and the Background. I am not sure what the blurred part on the right is. Would you consider removing it?
I like the leaves on the left. They set the scene, but the ones on the right distract me.   Posted: 11/15/2023 12:25:48

An interesting shot with an interesting subject. I have had opportunity with this type subject when living in AZ and tried for the same tongue action. There is good detail in the head and leg and it is looking at the phone.
The light on its head is a bit bright and the plant and item on the right are distracting. I agree on the DOF as the tongue appears blurred, or maybe it was moving.   Posted: 11/15/2023 14:38:20
