About the Image(s)
Art, I'm not trying to compete with, I can't compete with the Master, but after reading story, about this technique, in a Photo Magazine I had to try. I admit I could not resist. So this morning I grabbed my camera and tried. You Shutterbugs of DD #38 hold the response. And of course you too Art that are the inspiration. xi used my Lumix G9 camera fitted with a 14-42mm lens, at 16mm. Exposure time 1/6; f/ number f5; ISO 100. Post processing Ps/LrC. Final sparkles applied with Nik Color Efex 4 Pro Contrast. That's all.

I think an important aspect of any image, regardless of style, is that it captures the viewer's eye. I am not yet a mature fan of ICM but this image is an eye catcher. It has complimenting color. It has all the design elements I think an abstract needs to be successful. To my eye it appears the lavender blossoms are being sucked into a green swirling vortex. From what I've seen and studied about ICM, in my opinion you hit a home run with this one. Very nice.   Posted: 08/03/2022 10:41:40
Thank you Kurt. It is a little difficult technique, at least at the beginning. I think the subject takes most of the attention and the flowers are a good subject, more than anything else. But I need to practice more and do more, again with different subjects.   Posted: 08/03/2022 10:57:47
Gabriele, you did wonderful with this attempt. The greens and purples with dashes of yellow is all very pleasing. Art adding the vignette brings my eye right to the center. I will be looking up just how this is done to understand more.
Very nicely done Gabriele.
