Lonely walker by Marge Barham

January 2022 - Lonely walker

About the Image(s)

I took this photo years ago with my first digital camera, the Canon Rebel Xsi. This walkway is along the Hudson River in NJ and I just liked that this man was taking the time to walk in the rain. I think it's really peaceful.
F5.6, 1/400, ISO 1600.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy New Year.

Marge sorry to hearing about your husband. Happy New Year to you as well.
I think this's a nice interesting image, I tried some minor adjustments and a different cropping removing those people in the distant background. I think that the composition looks a little bit more balanced.   Posted: 01/10/2022 06:20:06

Nice leading lines. It would have been more powerful with a more interesting light to get the shadows of the trees. But this picture has some potential. I think there is too much empty space in the foreground , so I did crop the image, add a vignette. remove the gate. If I were a better editor I would convert this image in Black and white ( I first would saturate the colors in order to get a nice B&W) and change the color blue into red, of the walker and his umbrella.   Posted: 01/11/2022 14:30:45

I think this is a lovely capture that tells the story of going from dark to light. In my take, I cropped, used a vignette and flipped it horizontally.   Posted: 01/13/2022 22:49:01
