November 2021 - Fall season in the Shenandoah Mountains

About the Image(s)

Here is the image i would like to submit for November . Unfortunately , I am away from my computer for few weeks . I prepared the raw file before leaving but I am surprised I cannot get the data . So this picture has just received basic adjustments in LR , nothing else . I was attracted by this beam of foggy light and ambiance of an early morning of an early Fall season in the Shenandoah Mountains . I am open to any critics or suggestions . Thank you in advance . I like the light and the fog and how there is a path leading through the forest to the light. I tried cropping to the path and used Topaz Glow to make it even more mysterious and ominous.   Posted: 11/08/2021 21:02:22

I prefer the portrait crop and I like yours better than mine.   Posted: 11/09/2021 21:28:20

Regine, I love how the sunlight and fog blends in with the trees, lovely and very ethereal looking. I also prefer the vertical crop since all the focus is on this beautiful scene. Great job!   Posted: 11/10/2021 10:04:53

To me this is a well captured image of something, that when viewed live, screams to be photographed. I don't know what it is about sunbeams that grabs our imagination. I think you did a wonderful job of exposure capturing the light and shadows to add drama. For me either modification/crop that eliminates the distracting blue hole in the trees works. It's a magical moment saved. Nicely done.   Posted: 11/15/2021 07:27:38

Regina, what a beautiful capture. It makes me want to be there walking through these woods. I love the star effect of the sun and its exaggerated with the fog. And then you have that one ray hitting the heap of leaves just perfectly. Your vertical photo is better keeping all the interest right there. Well done Regina.   Posted: 11/16/2021 18:59:31
