Art I truly believe that you are getting better with your ICM images. In this case the image show, to me, a much better composition. The bright colorful strips are giving to the image a better feeling and mostly a better sense of complete image and not only abstract colors. Nice!   Posted: 11/01/2021 08:26:51

One of the things I like about ICM images is I get to visualize what kind of movement created the effect. I like the color and symmetry. I like the bold colors. If you hadn't posted a similar image with less movement last time, I would have a hard time figuring out what the subject might be. I like that. To me the alternating bands of color and light guides my eyes to the center of the image. In my opinion it is a well balanced abstract with patterns that are easy on my eyes. Nice.   Posted: 11/02/2021 15:56:08

I have nothing to say about proficiency of Art regarding editing, colours etc. The only thing I need to know, if I remove the Title -"A Prayer", shall the image speak for itself?   Posted: 11/04/2021 00:36:31

You raise an interesting issue. Most competitions and exhibits require at title. I think a provocative title provokes a response from the viewer and gets them to react to the image instead of just passing it by. I do want a response to my work.   Posted: 11/04/2021 17:14:45

You are correct. Each Salon and exhibition demand title for any image. But if you please go through the process of selection, you will see that the images are generally presented before the judges without any title or the name of the authors. Only a digital number is shown against an image.   Posted: 11/05/2021 10:35:39

That is true for many but not all PSA competitions. Most of the club competitions that I have judged included a title. It does influence my judging. I like the guidance of a title since it gives me a clue as to their intention otherwise I am just using my subjective opinion. I think the major professional photography competition like the Spyder Awards, Black and White Magazine and the International Color Awards use the title. If you exhibit in a gallery or art show they usually require a title. It is the dialogue that makes the world go round> I appreciate and understand your perspective.   Posted: 11/06/2021 23:30:49

Art, this is an outstanding picture. Your ICM experiment is very successful with this picture . it is abstract but yet one can see the face of this dancer and I really like that. this picture is not an accident , it is well mastered. To reply to Sunandan , to my taste this picture doesn't need a title to touch me . A prayer , a dancer , a flutist ....the subject is so vibrant of life . just a quick look at him gives you great energy for the day . looking forward to seeing to your next one . Congrats !   Posted: 11/07/2021 17:14:14

Art, I think you did a great job with your deliberate ICM movements. Love the bright colors plus the overall composition of the subject. This picture radiates a lot of energy; really like everything about it!   Posted: 11/09/2021 11:45:03

Art this is another job well done. I love it. Looking at it makes me think he is still moving right in front of me. The colors are bright and bold, and the shapes of the movement are just great. Are you focused in the center and moving the lens out? NICE!   Posted: 11/16/2021 19:42:21
