About the Image(s)

One forgotten image From the 2014 Expedition to Antarctica. The camera was a Lumix DMC-GX8; lens LUMIX G VARIO 14-140/F4.0-5.8; shutter speed 1/500; aperture f/9; ISO 200. Normal PP on PS/LrC. The post processing consisted mostly in correcting the blue that affects all images took on ice and snow even I had a pair of 81-A and 81-B filter. And a deserved thank you to Julie Rand, DDG #4, for the title suggestion.

It must have been a great trip. I like how the boat gives a sense of the scale of the iceberg and the colors. For me, a tighter crop and bringing out more detail would make it an even stronger image.   Posted: 07/02/2021 08:31:48

Interesting combination of lines and shapes. I like the contrast of the geometric boat and the smooth rounded edges of the iceberg. A study in shades of blue that's virtually unavoidable in that part of the world. I like the composition. I'm with Art in cropping off a little from the left. It still leaves one excursion boat to add scale. Wish I was there. Nicely done.   Posted: 07/05/2021 18:02:04
