About the Image(s)

This image was taken 3 years ago flying above the 82nd Parallel, just less than 700 miles from the North Pole. Those are the last mountains before the ice is getting flat and the temperatures are dipping below -30. Please, you'll note some color noise on the upper part, this is an iPhone 7plus image taken from the air. I think that given the shooting situation it is a pretty remarkable image. Here are the numbers: aperture f/2.8; exposure 1/3.0; focal length 6.6 mm; ISO 20. Final post processing PS/LrC and last touch with D-Fine 2,

I think this is well seen and a good capture. I like how foreground with the interesting shapes and structures leads the viewer through the image. Cropped a bit from the sky and used a curves adjustment to tone down the whites and increase the contrast. I used Topaz denoise to remove some of the noise in the sky.   Posted: 06/03/2021 21:53:54

Gabriele, this is a really stunning , uplifting picture. At first sight, It reminds me some artwork from Hokusai ( Japanese painter- The great Wave) . Maybe it is because of the palette of colors and the texture . This could be a drawing. If you are good with PS , maybe you could add some layers or create some effects to transform this image to a painting like . Just an idea. Congrats and thank you for sharing .   Posted: 06/05/2021 15:19:41
