September 2021 - Sunset at Mount Rainier

The photo was taken last week when I hiked the Mount Fremont Lookout trail in Mount Rainier National Park. The hiking trail is not too long, only 5.6 miles round trip, but with a stunning sunset views of Mt. Rainier. The camera settings are Nikon D850, Nikon 18-35mm, 1/8 sec, ISO-64, 18mm, f/18. I used a small aperture in order to capture sun rays. In post-processing, I brightened up the shadow and increased the color temperature a little bit.

Beautiful and well crafted! Following Howard's comments about panoramic format for my image, cropping out the foreground heightens the impact IMO. Posted: 09/18/2021 15:22:48
