About the Image(s)

This image of white tiger with cub was made in a zoological park some years ago.
I liked the way in which the cub tried to hide itself so as to feel protected. Shot with Nikon D800 and Nikon 70-200 mm f/2.8 in day light, the image was cropped from sides to highlight the cub.

Great image of the cub! Even with the cropping you did, the body mass of the mother might still overwhelm the impact of the cub. I might want to crop more and really bring attention predominantly to the cub. Very powerful image!   Posted: 07/18/2021 15:18:07

Wonderful pose, texture and color, Subhash. I took the liberty to crop tighter to try to bring focus even more to the cub. What do you think?   Posted: 07/18/2021 16:55:32

Subhash, the lighting and the detail on the cub's face are wonderful! The shallow D of F helps focus the eye there. I think your crop is effective and like Howard's too, but with less removed from the top.   Posted: 07/23/2021 20:40:25

Great capture of the tiger cub. The detail of the cub is great. I like the cropped version of Howard, which bring more focus to the cub.   Posted: 07/25/2021 02:38:11
