I loved the feeling of strength that this shack had standing in the middle of ‘nowhere’. I refer to it as The Homestead.
I worked on the usual - exposure, whites, blacks and shadows, texture and then sent it to silver Effects for a bit more finishing.

I like the sky in this photo, and the loneliness of the building; I get the "nowhere" feeling. You got low and that is a good perspective. Just a nit pick but the flower or plant that is in the lower right corner is pulling my attention away from the shack. You could darken it or remove it and that might improve the impact. This is an interesting photo with a lot of details. Personally I would have cropped the right hand lover corner with the plant away and perhaps a bit of the sky so that the barn and the bush were more center of the pic. However, this is a handsome photo. Posted: 11/19/2023 20:05:47
