About the Image(s)
This was taken with my Nikon Z conversion. I loved the shack, as I do most shacks, and enjoyed the boca effect. The foreground exemplified the haphazardness of the subject. I cropped it a bit on the left side which enabled me to accent the path up towards the right. I left some colors in the sky as well.

Hi Debbie, I like shacks too, and they are a great subject for IR. Please give the stats on your photo - what was your aperture? The sun flares are obviously your choice, but I don't think they add to the photo, and are distracting.   Posted: 05/09/2023 12:48:00

Very nice image, I like the shack.I also like the lens flare. I might crop up from the bottom of the image a bit.   Posted: 05/18/2023 10:58:43

There is a nice atmosphere in this photo. Personally I try to avoid the flares, but I do understand that here it is purposely included.   Posted: 05/19/2023 02:40:57
Thank you all for your comments. I wanted to know your opinions about lens flair. I have not embraced it before, but now I am appreciating it-almost a contemporary look. I guess, like intentional camera movement-one either appreciates the look or not. I will try cropping a bit off the bottom as Nelson suggested.   Posted: 05/19/2023 06:10:05

Debbie,
In this image, I think the sun flares hide the main focus of the image, the shack. Although I agree with the suggestion to crop some of foreground, I like the proportions on each side of the image. Cropping too much may change the proportions of the image. I would suggest darkening the white cloud a the top of the image as it draws my eye out of the image. Susan   Posted: 05/23/2023 17:07:22

You have a nice lead in line from the lower right corner which takes the viewer to the old shack. I don't care for the lens flare but don't know how to remove it. The appeal is wondering what the old shack is used for so it makes me, the viewer, want to look at the scene longer.   Posted: 05/26/2023 12:34:06
Thank you, Stuart . I realize now that I like it. I do not want to remove it, but thank you for your opinion as that is what I wanted to know.   Posted: 05/26/2023 14:41:16
To me, it adds a certain mystique!
