About the Image(s)

Here's another shot made at my favorite place for IR in the Cincinnati area. It was a nice sunny blue sky day.
Shot with my Nikon d5100 converted camera, with the 18-70 mm kit lens. Processed with Capture One, and Photoshop.
ISO 160 1/80 sec f/8, at 18mm.

Nice shot-simple and good example of IR. The only thing that I would do is tone down the turquoise hue-perhaps just my aversion to the color.   Posted: 05/09/2023 12:51:18

This is a great subject for IR and I appreciate the white greenery. The last column on the right has a slight bluish hue, stronger than the others. I know that the monument is on a hill. and that can cause some perspective issues (like the photo I had previously of a southern plantation). I think that if you snap a horizon line using the top of the monument you will find it is not level with the top of the photo, leaning down on the right.   Posted: 05/09/2023 12:58:09

The blue sky with otherwise monochromic picture makes this photo interesting. The landscape is interesting and fine. A nice photo.   Posted: 05/19/2023 02:43:54

Nelson,
I agree with both of Laurens comments re the bluish hue on the column and the straightness of the image. Good contrast between the building and the white trees. Overall, well done. Susan   Posted: 05/23/2023 17:15:00

This is a good combination of nature and "man made." Neither dominates so both foliage and building have their own appeal.
The bits of blue sky add a nice element to the overall scene.   Posted: 05/26/2023 12:38:31
