About the Image(s)

I made this image at a local university here in Northern Kentucky called Thomas Moore University. My wife works here, so I was just walking around taking some photos until she got off work. I made this shot with my Olympus EM1 Mark III, 590nm converted camera. Used the 14-42mm kit lens, this lens work better than my other lens, because it doesn't have many hot spots. I'm shooting with an in-camera B&W Art mode setting and just used the jpg from the camera. Processed with Capture One 21, and Photoshop 2021.

Like the composition, curves always grab my eye.
After looking at the original I wonder how this would look in faux colour? Maybe even do it as a duotone and keep the church in monochrome with a blue sky and yellow or pink

Terry, I tried playing around with color, still liked the B&W better. Thanks

I rather like the subtle colours in the original version of this while I find the mono version a little busy. I think if you cropped the image from the top to just above the cross the building would be more dominant and act as a stronger focal pint. It would also simplify the image. I do like the curved path which leads the eye to the church.   Posted: 10/13/2021 11:28:56
