About the Image(s)

This is a color version of the b/w scene I showed a couple of months ago. When I do IR I often bracket the shot with two different filters, 715nm for b/w and a 665nm for color. I experimented with this scene in color but didn't keep a detailed record of the steps other than first doing a channel switch and curves to do an overall brightening.

This is very colourful, indeed I like the combination of blue/mauve and yellow tones very much. I think it probably has more impact than your earlier mono version. The only suggestion I can make is to reduce the amount of sky in the image which makes the mountain in the distance more dominant in the scene.   Posted: 10/13/2021 11:16:01

What a fun choice of colors. This is really different, and I like the idea of leading lines into the purple tones of mountains. I think the mountains would pop more with some contrast added. I am not sure that I agree with Julie, knowing that Big Sky is part of the ranch scene.   Posted: 10/18/2021 19:27:40

Never thought about this color combo but I do like it. Like your idea of experimenting with different filters. Will definitely need to try it. The only thing that might improve on this would be something to break up the sky (clouds) and perhaps a little more contrast in the mountains but I really do like it!   Posted: 10/19/2021 18:30:53

I don't think there has been any trains for a while.   Posted: 10/26/2021 09:30:59
